Hey everyone! Can you tell me how did you come up with your Mystic Readings/AT usernames? What was it inspired from? Did you consider another username before? (Did someone beat you to your username? Forgot your username before? Because that happened to me definitely) I want to hear your stories!
My username came from my love of Tolkien's works. The word "Galadh" means "tree" or "light" (an important element in the stories. There's Gil-galad and Galadriel, the trees of Valinor Laurelin and Telperion, Queen Ancalimë.) and the suffix "-wen" means "female". So "tree maiden", if you will. It lends a clue to my real name. 😇

Hmmm...very interesting post and thread! I like it, galadhwen ! Also, what an inspiring and divine username you have. Just brilliant. As for my username, well--it actually was one that I'd used eleven years ago when I was in high school (MySpace was still sort of a thing--now you know how old I am, LOL). I was into the blogging scenes of GreatestJournal, LiveJournal and all of those other sites, and I wanted an edgy username. This name was in a list of suggested usernames, and jumped out at me, so I decided to register it for the first time then. I ended up choosing to use it as a forum handle for Tarot boards just as I've restarted my Tarot journey because it was an easy fall back. I didn't even really think about it too much when I decided to register it for Aeclectic Tarot and The Collectors Forum. But now, I can see that there has been more going on here than I thought... Using electrocutions has been sort of like seeing my past self. It's a bit embarrassing, and I sense some immaturity in the name, but it's familiar and I'm fond of its nonsensical nature, nonetheless. It's like seeing my younger self face to face, and growing into appreciating who I was and who I've become. In relation to my username's history, my Tarot journey has surprisingly similar parallels in the fact that it has been a journey of re-discovery and integration of my past self into my current being. I first discovered the practice in the summer of 2013, when I first discovered tarot at my hometown's annual arts fair by the coast. I had my first reading done there, right by the sea, and later that day, invested in my first deck, a Rider-Waite-Smith copy. I wasn't too fond of the deck though because its garish yellowness and profound wealth of symbolism was intimidating. Eventually, my parents found the deck, disapproved of it, and discouraged me from even starting really delving into my Tarot practice. Sensitive to their reaction, I ended up hiding that poor deck in a drawer, intending to never let it see the light of day again. It was four long years until I finished my first year in grad school successfully this past May in NYC, and I spent my last days of the school year with a dear friend who brought me back to Tarot. It was a really meaningful reintroduction to the practice, and it came at an important, crucial time (my school year was a really difficult one, emotionally, mentally and physically). Inspired, I eventually pulled out my good old RWS deck, with its scrappy nature even more pronounced after having been put away (didn't seem to hold grudges though, as it reads playfully, and is belligerently tender in spreads). ...And the rest is history.

I guess mine isn't hard to figure out. I'm a Traditional Witch {non Wiccan} and I love the Moon. I thought this would be a great place to finally be who I am and to hopefully meet other like-minded people. I love all forms of Divination, so I'm looking forward to learning as well as teaching on this forum. Blessings, LadyLuna

Had it for years on AT.
I live in Australia and NZ - so "DOWN UNDER" and I am from "NZ", so "DownUnderNZer".

I bought an original edition Bonefire deck some few years ago. Each is numbered on the title card, mine is 277. That's it as my avatar. I took off the tatty string and replaced it with a shoelace.

Mine is pretty straightforward for any Tarot student. Arcana XV, the 15th Arcana, The Devil, aka Temptation. I have been going by ArcanaXV or Temptation ever since I started posting in forums. The Devil is a card that scares a lot of people. It's always been one of my favorites.

I was Ace on AT originally. With a wand avatar. Hence: ace of wands-since I ran my own business. Now I am on several forums, and I am ACE on all of them. I still can't believe I was able to get that name on all of them!

Well, first off, I love the idea of this thread! I actually didn't put a lot of thought into my username. But, I've always loved Pixie's (kinda funny since my name is Pixie too), and my favorite color is purple hence the "puplepixie" user name. I wanted to include my name in the user so it was easy to find for others, but I didn't just want it to be "pixiehart" so I decided to add "purple" in the beginning. Not much of a story there.

Eeviee was a nickname I picked up in school, in reference to the female lead in The Mummy movies (the ones with Brendan Fraiser in them). I've grown to love the name, and it's root (Evelynn). I've taken it on as a "spiritual name."

Around the same time I also got into spell work and wanted to give myself a magical name. Austrologically I have a lot of air in my chart. The time of day I function best is at night because it's quiet. Also I lived in a large city so quiet was hard to come by.
